Indian Air Force (Bhartiya Vayu Sena) has released the official notification for Group Y / Medical Assistant Airmen Intake (01/2027). Online applications have started from 12 January 2026 and eligible candidates can apply till 01 February 2026.

🎂 Age Limit (As per Indian Air Force Rules)
- Medical Assistant Trade (10+2): Unmarried candidates born between 01 January 2006 to 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc Pharmacy):
- Unmarried: Born between 01 January 2003 to 01 January 2008.
- Married: Born between 01 January 2003 to 01 January 2006.
- Upper Age Limit: 21 Years
- Age relaxation as per Indian Air Force rules (read notification).
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Medical Assistant Trade (10+2): Passed 10+2 / Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English securing minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English, OR completed a 2-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) with the same minimum marks.
- Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy): Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with minimum 50% marks, AND a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks along with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council / PCI.
🏃 Medical Standard / Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Up to 21 Years: 1.6 KM run within 7 minutes.
- Above 21 Years (Diploma / B.Sc Pharmacy): 1.6 KM run within 7 minutes 30 seconds.
- Minimum Height: 152.5 CM
- Chest: Well proportioned with minimum expansion of 5 CM.
- Hearing: Normal hearing (forced whisper test).
- Vision: 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/9; refractive error not exceeding +3.50D.
- Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, minimum 14 dental points.
